बरेली (जेएनएन)। पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे गोरखपुर के पीलीभीत जंक्शन से अभी तक लंबी दूरी की ट्रेनों का संचालन शुरू नहीं हो सका है, जिससे यात्रियों को काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। रेल अफसर चुप्पी साधे हैं।

सीधी एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन सेवा नहीं है। उद्घाटन के दौरान केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री मेनका गांधी ने एक माह के अंदर दिल्ली के लिए एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन चलवाने का वादा किया था, जो अभी तक पूरा नहीं हो पाया है। अभी टनकपुर से पीलीभीत और पीलीभीत से बरेली सिटी तक पैसेंजर ट्रेन का संचालन किया जा रहा है। इन ट्रेनों को बरेली जंक्शन से भी नहीं जोड़ा गया। जन प्रतिनिधियों की उपेक्षापूर्ण रवैये की वजह से टनकपुर अथवा पीलीभीत से लंबी दूरी की एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन संचालित नहीं हो पा रही है, जिसका खामियाजा आम जनता को उठाना पड़ रहा है। टनकपुर से रोजाना हजारों की संख्या में यात्री दिल्ली व देहरादून के लिए यात्रा करता है, लेकिन रेलवे की नजर में कुछ भी नहीं है। पीलीभीत से प्रत्येक सोमवार को व्यापारी दिल्ली जाते हैं। सीधी ट्रेन सेवा न होने की वजह से व्यापारियों को अधिक किराया अदा करके रोडवेज बस से जाने के लिए मजबूर हो रहे हैं। सिविल लाइन साउथ निवासी शिवम कश्यप, राजीव मिश्र, तेजपाल राठौर का कहना है कि पीलीभीत से एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन सेवा का संचालन जल्द शुरू किया जाए, जिससे यात्रियों को सफर करने में आसानी हो जाएगी। बरेली जाकर ट्रेन को बदलना नहीं पड़ेगा। इस दिशा में रेलवे को कदम उठाना चाहिए।

Kundaria in his social media post attached Railway Minister Piyush Goyal’s letter and stated, ‘I am happy to inform to the citizens of Saurashtra including Rajkot that Hon. Minister of Railways has conveyed through the letter dated 14.05.2018 that Indian Railways have considered the extension of operation of train no. 12267 / 12268 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Duronto Express upto Rajkot. The operation would be enabled in due course.’

* BCT-ADI Duronto complete its journey in just over 10 hours, it would be very nice if the rake which remains idle for 17-18 hrs a day is put to good use by extending it up to Rajkot i.e. more 4:30 hrs. If patronage is good, the train may be extended further to Jamnagar to serve the people/region better.
* BCT-ADI, a 17 ICF coached Duronto is well patronized, there is scope of increasing the number of coaches.
* If SL coaches are added, there will be good patronage on ADI-Jamnagar stretch

रेलवे बोर्ड के चेयरमैन की नाराजगी के बाद भी मंडल में ट्रेनों का समय नहीं सुधरा। सोमवार को 54 ट्रेनें लेट पहुंची। जबकि औसतन साठ प्रतिशत ट्रेनें लेटलतीफी की शिकार हो रहीं हैं।मंडल में ट्रेनों के समय से चलाने की योजना के अमल के चार दिन बीतने के बाद भी ट्रेनों के देर से चलने का क्रम जारी है। सोमवार को जननायक सवा तेरह घंटे लेट रही। अवध-असम एक घंटे, हिमगिरि सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस सवा तीन घंटे, कुंभ साढ़े चार घंटे, लिंक छह घंटे, पाटलीपुत्र दो घंटे, सरयू यमुना नौ घंटे, गरीब नवाज सवा दो घंटे,काशी विश्वनाथ साढ़े, सुपरफास्ट राज्यरानी एक्सप्रेस छह घंटे और जनसेवा साढ़े चार घंटे देर से पहुंची।जबकि सप्तक्रांति, राजधानी, किसान, शताब्दी, पोरबंदर, सुपरफास्ट बेगमपुरा, कामाख्या, दून, बाघ और नौचंदी के यात्री ट्रेनों के लेट चलने से परेशान हुए। एडीआरएम श्रीवास्तव का कहना है कि ट्रेनों को समयबद्ध करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। परिचालन विभाग के...

साथ इंजीनियरिंग और आपरेटिंग के कर्मचारियों को कई स्तर पर निगरानी दी गई है। दूसरे मंडल से देरी से मिलने वाली ट्रेनों को समयबद्ध करने में परेशानी हो रही है।इंक्वायरी पर महिला कर्मचारी परेशानमुरादाबाद। ट्रेनों के आने जाने संबंधी सूचना को लेकर रोजाना हंगामा हो रहा है। सोमवार को आन-ड्यूटी महिला कर्मचारियों से कई यात्री उलझ गए। इस दौरान इंक्वायरी पर तैनात दोनों महिला कर्मचारी परेशान नजर आईं।नाम न छापने की शर्त पर एक कर्मचारी ने कहा कि अगर एक साथ महिला और पुरुष की ड्यूटी पूछताछ केंद्र पर रहे तो यात्रियों को आसानी से समझाया जा सकेगा। ट्रेनों के विलंब से चलने को लेकर अक्सर यात्री झल्ला जा रहे हैं। शाम के समय अधिक दिक्कत हो रही है।

In a step towards women empowerment, the Indian Railways has handed over the Gandhi Nagar railway station in Rajasthan to an all women crew, a railway official said.
The station is fully operated by 28 women employees, including ticket checkers, RPF, operations staff and reservation and booking supervisors, North Western Railway spokesperson Tarun Jain said.
Employees working at this station are well trained, CCTV cameras and sanitary napkin vending machines were installed before handing it over to the staff, he added.

MUMBAI: The Western Railway yesterday said that contrary to its own earlier RTI replies of 40 per cent drop in seat occupancy coupled with a huge loss in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad sector, it was actually a very profitable sector with over 100 per cent occupancy even during off-season.
In RTI replies provided to activist Anil Galgali, WR's Chief Commercial Manager Manjit Singh had given detailed figures of the seats going vacant on this sector, resulting in losses of almost Rs. 30 crore between July and September this year.

Officer Ravinder Bhakar said that there are nine direct trains and 25 other trains going via Ahmedabad and the total earnings on this sector during that period was Rs. 233 crore, against the losses of nearly Rs. 30 crore as per the RTI replies, which pertained to number of passengers travelling between Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad.
"The information does not include information about en route traffic, passengers from originating station to en route stations, intermediate stations to intermediate and to destination stations between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad, thereby showing lesser occupancy," Mr Bhakar said.
Despite the July-September period being a lean season, he said the occupancy on this sector remained 100 per cent plus on all the 34 trains.

Of the nine direct trains, there were 803,150 berths of which actual bookings were 830,978, or 103 per cent occupancy in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad sector, and in return direction, the position remained the same.
Besides, in the 25 trains going via Ahmedabad, the berth availability was 1,070,710 and actual bookings were 1,230,585 or 115 per cent; in the return direction, it was even higher at 121 per cent.
RTI activist Anil Galgali said it is strange that the specific RTI query between Ahmedabad-Mumbai, which implied all stations en route, the number of passengers and revenue records and appropriate information should have been provided.
He said in the data given under RTI, details of all classes were provided but now that is not available. The RTI reply said that in the 32 trains on Mumbai-Ahmedabad sector, there were 735,630 seats and in 31 trains on Ahmedabad-Mumbai sector, there were 706,446 seats.
"Now, the WR is saying the total number of seats on this sector in 34 trains is much higher. Why the huge discrepancy in the figures given by the WR Chief Commercial Manager under RTI and the WR spokesperson?" Mr Galgali said.
Under these circumstances, if the replies provided under RTI are wrong, then the WR should initiate action against the people concerned and Railway Ministry must issue a detailed white paper on the occupancy and revenue status on this crucial sector where the bullet train project is being planned at a cost of over Rs. 1 lakh crore, he said.

It is very difficult to get exact reply to complicated questions through RTI, because the concerned deptt almost always give the information specifically asked, and not the questions that may be considered to be implied.
For Mumbai-Ammedabad sector, The reply may include only the sale of tickets/ occupancy of seats at originating station only. Practically Mumbai-Ahm route is very high traffic density route and occupancy of just about 60% is hard to believe. Special fare/Premium trains may have poor occupancy due to high dynamic fares.
